Peter Ward TrainSafe provide Certified Driver Training for Elevated Work Platforms in Perth, and throughout Western Australia on request.
Our Worksafe WA approved Elevated Work Platform Driver Training course is one day for experienced, or two days for inexperienced operators. The EWP Training Course consists of training in two sessions for practical and theory assessments.
EWP Training Perth – Theory and Practical Assessments
The theory assessment is conducted after the theory session and study time. Before the practical assessment takes place the trainee will practice on the machine to familiarise themselves with its operation and safety procedures. We discuss the assessment with the trainee so they fully understand what is expected.
Both EWP training assessments must be passed to be deemed Competent.
A successful and competent trainee will receive their EWP ticket in the form of a Five (5) year Licence to Perform High Risk Work for Elevated Work Platforms, from Worksafe WA. A Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment will also be issued by PWT.
The Elevated Work Platform training assessor will issue an interim certificate of a Licence to Perform High Risk Work for EWP which will cover the competent trainee until the appropriate paper work has been finalised with WORKSAFE WA. This accreditation is to be carried at all times when operating an Elevated Working Platform.
If a trainee is found Not Yet Competent to operate the Elevated Work Platform, they may re apply twenty one (21) days after the first assessment. This is a Worksafe WA regulation.
EWP Training Class Size
The maximum number of people that can be assessed in each EWP training course is ten (10).
